NOTW #7

Sorry for the quality of these pictures! I was in such a rush to get them painted & dried in time for Gemma's birthday - I got glitter everywhere!

This is definitely one of my favourite nail varnishes at the moment. I've seen so many bloggers rave about Pink Fizz, I just had to purchase it. It dries incredibly fast for a glitter polish as well, always a bonus. : )

Hope you're having a good weekend lovelies. <3

Wishlist - New Look

1 - Tropical Print Dipped Hem Dress. This dress is definitely my favourite item on this list. I think it's simply stunning. I'm in love with the 'dipped hem' dresses at the moment. So elegant & perfect for Spring / Summer.

2 - Mela Navy Bird Print Shirt Dress - I'm a sucker for a patterned dress, especially if it's bird print. Birds always make me think of spring, even though it's navy - you could still pull this off in Spring especially with good pair of wedges.

3 - Beige Patent Cross Strap Wedges - Now these, what can I say? They'd be perfect with both the above dresses, or skinny jeans if you're not a dress person!

4 - Neon Pink Parker Envelope Bag - You all know I love pink. Mix pink with a bit of black & silver & you've got the ultimate combination of stylish & feminine & elegant. Just love this.

5 - Cream Frill Blouse - I adore this blouse. It looks so much better on - so elegant & girly. I believe every girl should have an item that's white or cream in their wardrobe, it's an essential & you might as well pick one as pretty as this. : )

Week In Photos #4

'Cookie in a mug' / Pretty flower / Yummy curry night with the best one / Stormy sky / Pastel nails / CBA hair / My Easter egg from Bo I ate in one sitting / Cooookie / Raindrops / Honey drinking her tea / Sarah's scary eye / Most delicious pudding ever.

Hello lovelies. : )

This week has been quite chilled - I haven't really done much except go to work, get soaked on dog walks & eat. I went for a walk with Honey & Pete on Friday & we got caught in the hail. It was so painful! I was wearing leggins & a hoodie & the pain on my legs was un-real. I ended up screaming & flapping around while Honey & Pete just stared at me like I was insane. : ) Stupid English weather.

I'm so excited about this coming weekend. It's Gemma's 21st, so she comes back from uni tomorrow, we're going shopping on Friday for new dresses (first time I will have been shopping properly since the start of Lent!) & then getting our hair done Saturday lunch time before heading out on the town in the evening. Can't actually wait. : )

Hope you're all having a good week. : )

Things I'm Lovin'

Hello lovelies.

I have to say it never fails to amaze me how supportive you all are. Thankyou so much for all your comments on my last post, it really means alot to me. <3

Right, thought I'd share with you some lovely (slightly weird) things I've found this week that have made me smile.

- Firstly, this website. You take a photo of yourself (doesn't matter if its a blurry webcam shot) & upload it to the site & it analyses your face & pairs you with a dog. Once you have been paired up you can chose whether you want to contact or read more about the dog as they are all up for adoption & need good homes. It pulled on my heart strings a bit, but it's so adorable to see who you get paired with. Let me know who you get!

- Discovered this amazing guy on Youtube. His voice is gorgeous!

- Oh & these two guys.. how funny are they!? Phil & Dan both have individual channels on Youtube but they both feature on each others. How has no one told me about these two before?! I spent the whole of yesterday watching & lol-ing my head off at their videos. : )

- Oh & another website I found that made me in stitches earlier this week was this one. Webcam effects - what more can I say. Just lol.

- & this photo.

Anyway, I hope some of that made you smile girls. If you want more pointless updates, make sure you check out my twitter. I'm always posting stupid stuff on there. : )

This is a scheduled post which I'm hoping will post. *fingers crossed* I'm supposed to be dying my hair today with the help of Pete, so I'll post more next week. Hope you're all well lovelies. : )

Update #8

Hey lovelies, sorry I've been absent from the blogging world for almost a week now, but so much stuff has been going on, I just haven't had time to go online.

I think it's really hard as a blogger to know what to post about sometimes. There's a very fine line between sharing your life experiences & going over board & sharing everything with everyone. As much as I don't really want to post about what I am going to today, I think you guys should know seeing as he was a huge part of my life & failing to mention this would be kind of insane as it's all that's on my mind at the moment. Besides, what is a blog for if you can't write about what's going on in your life?

I'm guessing you all probably know what I'm about to say, but I broke up with Gordon recently. We'd been together for 3 years last Saturday. I'm heart broken, but I know he did it for the best & we'll both realise that one day. I just thought I should mention it girls, I know I always post about going to see him & our days out, so it's only fair you should know.

I'm sorry to any new followers or to anyone who's just stumbled onto my blog. Usually my posts are full of happier things! Honestly. : )

I'll be back to posting properly soon ladies. Love you all & thankyou to all of you that have supported me so far. <3

NOTW #6 + Mini Update

Hello lovelies. : )

Yes, another nail post. I apologise. More variety next week. (I hope)

I picked up this beautiful GOSH nail varnish from Superdrug, in the sale for £2. It's such a gorgeous colour, perfect for Autumn. (Yes I know we're such going into Spring & Summer, but I just had to have it!)

Because it's metallic, it's got a gorgeous shine to it & it dried really fast which is always a bonus.

--------------------------------------------------

I've been so busy at work this week. We've had shows nearly ever day & I'm so overly tired.

Oh & it's National Kissing Day. Twitter really does feed you the most useless information, but it's better than wishing you a jinxed Friday 13th! Have a good day girls! : )

Models Own - Indian Ocean

I don't think there are words that can sum up this nail varnish. I'm in love. : )

I really do apologise for the awful photos. I took them in a rush & because this nail varnish is such a unique colour, it was so hard to photograph. It looks a different shade in every light.

To get the colour I have on my nails, I used three coats. It is quite a watery varnish, so to get the most out of it you need to layer it up. It's so beautiful, when the light catches the blue, it shimmers into a pink glitter.

It only cost £5, total steal.

Hope you're all well lovelies. : )

Happy Easter!

My egg from Muffin, one of my chicks, chocolate remains, Easter bunny, Easter card, Honey with my Lindt bunny.

Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend. : )

Pastel Nail Varnishes For Spring

Unless you've been buried under a rock, you'll know how big pastels are this Spring so I thought I'd show you my top 6 nail varnishes. Yes, that's right, 6. I couldn't pick just 5! : )

L - R: ELF Lilac, ELF Mint Cream, Barry M Pale Blue, Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, Barry M Peach Melba, Barry M Lemon Ice Cream

Let's start with the two ELF varnishes. They were £1.50 each from ELF's website. I only bought these at the beginning of the year, thinking how gorgeous they'd be for Spring / Summer. Only thing I will say about them is they do take longer than normal to dry, but the colours are gorgeous.

My current nails - ELF Lilac & Mint Cream

The other 4 varnishes you can see are all by Barry M. Peach Melba is the most recent buy out of them all when there was that blogger craze about it last year! I'm so glad I got it, it's such a beautiful colour. : )

The other 3 I've loved ever since I started wearing nail varnish. A girl has to have a pastel pink in her collection somewhere & the Strawberry Ice Cream is perfect! The Pale Blue just reminds me of the sky when there are no clouds & it's just gorgeously sunny. However, the Lemon Ice Cream & I have had a love / hate relationship. Two Summer's ago, I put it on my nails & took it off immediately. For some reason, I just didn't like it. However, when I tried it on my toes, I loved it. Since then, it's been my perfect Summer shade for my toes.

*Awesome tips*

- Try mixing up your pastels on your nails, never stick to just one colour. Because they are all pale shades, they look beautiful mixed together.

- Try using a matte top coat on top of your pastel nails, it takes away the shine & looks amazing.

No7 Poppy King Lipgloss

I received this lip gloss in a Christmas box from one of my friends. : )

I love No7 products, especially their lipsticks. I've never tried a lip gloss from their range before, so I was really excited to get this for Christmas. I love the packaging, the polka dots are so effortlessly pretty.

It is quite a glittery gloss, which I'm not too fussed on, but it applies really well & stays on your lips for a long period of time.

The swatch actually looks quite dark, but when applied to your lips it blends in with your natural lip colour so just looks like your wearing a very sheer gloss. (with a bit of sparkle)

However, it is quite a sticky gloss, which again, I'm not a fan of, but it does look gorgeous on. : )

Have you tried any of the Poppy King range?
